Today, I am grateful for . . .
Technology
I was training a new employee at work today. Things have changed considerably since I started. This training all occur using the computer. Fifteen years ago, I printed a manual and reviewed each page with the new employee - page by page by page. What horrible training! It took hours. And it was excrutiatingly boring. I don't know how anyone stayed awake. It is now interactive - and the new employee has a much better understanding of the material.
I am also grateful for cell phones, labptops, HDTV (not that I watch a lot, but the picture is AMAZING), the internet, email (although sometimes it is a curse), modern medicine, crockpots, and microwaves. All these things make my life so much easier. I can't imagine trying to make Thanksgiving and Christmas plans via Pony Express.
Feel free to add whatever technology makes your life easier.
