Perspective

I was involved in a minor traffic accident Monday evening on my way home from taking one of the girls to dance.  I was hit from behind while stopped at a red light.  When I got out of my car to access the damage and exchange information, the driver who hit me left the scene.

Pretty awful, right?

That depends on how you look at it . . .

Here's my take -

I was the only one in the car (no little people to be traumatized).
The damage is moderate, but the car is still driveable.
The only injury was my fault from falling while trying to run the guy down (I cannot run faster than a car).
There were a couple of very nice people who helped me and gave statements to the police (They are my heroes).
One of the witnesses got the license plate number, so the driver was found and has insurance so this accident won't cost us anything (other than the inconvenience of getting the car repaired).

So, as horrible as it is to be involved in an accident, there are always blessings to be found.  Sometimes we just have to look a little harder.
